Perhaps spurred on by the hype surrounding Samsung’s Galaxy Fold and Huawei’s Mate X, 基隆收購手機oppo VP Brian Shen has revealed images of his company’s own take on a foldable phone. Shen makes it clear in his Weibo post that 基隆收購手機oppo isn’t yet planning to ship the prototype device unless it sees a lot of demand, but the pictures show that the company is leaning towards Huawei’s design more than Samsung’s.
That’s to say there’s a single large OLED panel that wraps around both sides of the phone when it’s folded, rather than being folded away on the inside. There’s also a thicker bar on one side that houses cameras and other components.
Whether 基隆收購手機oppo decides to ship this phone or not, it’s clear that we’re approaching the point where similar phones become relatively commonplace. Sure, Samsung and Huawei can charge $2,000 and up for their first flagship foldables as halo devices. But the tech is out of the bag now, and you can expect a lot more to come soon from Chinese makers in particular.

2023 年，全球智慧手機市場營收下跌 2% 目前低於 4100 億美元，出貨量下降至 4% 達到 11.7 億支手機。根據調查公司Counterpoint Research報告指出，全球智慧手機平均售價增長2%，首次來到350 美元。蘋果手機全球銷量市佔達到 50%，為全年最高。因高階推動趨勢，2023 年出貨的每4支智慧手機中就有1支零售價格超過 600 美元。但非高階市場則面臨兩位數的下跌，而高階智慧型手機出貨量在可折疊手機、GenAI 等功能推動下成長8%。
Counterpoint Research 研究總監 Jeff Fieldhack 指出， 蘋果首次在全年出貨量上超越三星成為最大廠商。雖然在美國表現最好，在印度、加勒比海和拉丁美洲 以及中東和非洲等新興市場，蘋果也獲得了兩位數的增長。但此增長抵消蘋果在中國遇到華為復蘇的挑戰。伴隨著平均售價 2% 增長，可以看到蘋果正處於營收超級循環，將拭目以待蘋果在農曆年時期加速銷量。
Counterpoint Research 分析師 Ivan Lam 在說明蘋果在中國市場的表現表示，新興市場復甦分擔了中國市場帶來的憂慮，但在中國仍然艱辛。雖然市場回溫，但面臨華為高階市場以及多家中國廠商蠶食對 iPhone 13 和 14 出貨量的競爭。期望蘋果在農曆年關鍵這幾週是否會在價格上採取激進措施，來刺激買氣。
三星長期以來作為出貨量最高的市場領頭羊，遭遇不少挫折，在高階市佔率減少。中階手機也面臨來自小米和 vivo 等中國廠商在印度等市場的激烈競爭。低階手機則受到傳音控股在中東和非洲以及東南亞市場的挑戰。
除了華為和 Honor 之外，其他中國廠商在 2023 年也遇到出貨量和營收同時下跌情況。在五大品牌中，vivo 由於在歐洲表現相對疲軟並在旗艦機發佈時期，營收和出貨量分別下降了 16% 和 12%。基隆收購手機oppo 的營收和出貨量則下跌9%。好在 基隆收購手機oppo 集團內部 OnePlus 帶動，避免更大幅度的下降。基隆收購手機oppo 已和 Nokia 簽署了 5G和其他無線通訊技術交叉授權協議讓在它很快返回歐洲市場。
預計整體全球智慧手機平均售價將繼續增長，高階機銷售讓大家更有利潤。而在需求方面，消費者也願意付更多錢來買較耐用的機款。華為在中國市場的復蘇也有助於平均售價的增長。
